Dear business partner,
The weather conditions in the area of the Slovenian rail network are once again causing major disruption to the operation of rail traffic. They have been resulting in complete disruption of railway services on individual sections of the lines , unexpected closures of individual tracks and the introduction of slowdowns to ensure rail safety.
Current constraints in the area of the public railway infrastructure:
– Traffic disruption on the Kranj-Jesenice section. The competent departments are carrying out an inspection of the line.
– Traffic disruption on the section Ruše-Pliberk. Due to the extent of the damage on the railway, a longer period of time is foreseen for the restoration of the damage.
– Failure of the signalling device installation at Kranj station and on the Kranj-Podnart inter-station section.
– Interruption of traffic on the Most na Soči-Jesenice section.
– Traffic disruption on the section Šmartno ob Paki-Velenje.
According to the weather forecast, additional delays and disruptions may be expected later in the day and night.
All of the above-mentioned contingencies will have an impact on the implementation of the operational timetable and the occupancy rate of the infrastructure capacity of the railway infrastructure. The infrastructure manager is endeavouring to resolve these exceptional occurrences as soon as possible.
