From 1 July to 30 August, we hosted two graduate students of the Academy of Technical and Art Applied Studies Belgrade ended at SŽ – Tovorni promet, as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
During their two-month internship, Slađana Rajković and Olga Pušonjić got to know the work processes of all the departments of SŽ – Tovorni promet by talking to department heads and other key personnel. They also visited the station Koper, our biggest container terminal in Ljubljana Moste, the central shunting yard in Ljubljana Zalog, the stations Maribor Tezno and Celje, as well as the border stations Jesenice and Sežana / Opčine. They also got to know the rolling stock maintenance, which is carried out by our sister company SŽ VIT at the workshops in Ljubljana and Maribor.
At the end of the internship, the two students presented their experience to the director of the company SŽ – Tovorni promet, Melita Rozman Dacar. They thanked her for the warm welcome and excellent guidance of the employees who accompanied them during their apprenticeship.
Melita Rozman Dacar advised the Serbian students to persevere in logistics, because it is a beautiful and dynamic field with many opportunities. She also urged them to be brave and to dare to think outside the box, as this is the only way to develop and progress.
