The Slovenian Logistics Association (SLZ) awarded the 1th Logistics company of the year award.

For 2023, it was awarded to SŽ – Tovorni promet. Award was accepted by the director of SŽ – Tovorni promet, Melita Rozman Dacar.

Since 2022, the company SŽ – Tovorni promet, d.o.o. has been a company jointly owned by Slovenske železnik and EP Logistics International, which is part of the Czech EPH group. The company has a leading position among its competitors on the Slovenian market, and operates in the markets of the wider region, where it strengthens its position with its own presence and with the strategic partner. The company provides comprehensive logistics services both in conventional railway transport and in combined transport. It operates three back-end container terminals. It also carries out transport with its own traction in Austria and Croatia. SŽ-Tovorni promet wants to become a leading regional carrier and provider of comprehensive logistics services in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, therefore it is rapidly digitalizing its operations with the product e-Tovorni promet.

The chairman of the committee for awarding the title of Logist icianof the Year, Robert Biček: “Within the framework of the Slovenian Logistics Association, every year we award the honorary title of Logistician of the Year to the most successful individual, who in the past period achieved exceptional achievements in the field of logistics and supply chains with his or her work and innovative approach. Melita Rozman Dacar from the company SŽ – Tovorni promet, d. o. o. earned the flattering title among all the candidates for 2023.”

The company SŽ – Tovorni promet, d.o.o., is recognized for the comprehensiveness of its logistics services in the field of rail transport in the wider region. It builds on its excellence by accelerating the digitization of logistics processes, by introducing paperless operations within the company and with business partners, and by continuously investing in the modernization of locomotives and wagons, while also paying attention to the impact of its activities on the environment. The company is in the process of comprehensive renovation of the information system, which will further optimize processes and strengthen paperless business and customer relationship management. All this significantly increased the added value per employee and enabled growth in several areas. With their activity and progress, they put Slovenia on the map in the wider region.

The company pays great attention to environmental and safety excellence with the introduced system of traceability of environmental impact, the system of handling packaging, the system of energy optimization of logistics has been introduced, and it also has long-term goals of reducing the carbon footprint.

The company is aware that the field of logistics and supply chains is important for success and that this requires the ability to quickly adapt and implement modern technologies and business models that enable transparency throughout the entire supply chain. At the same time, they are also committed to environmental excellence by reducing harmful emissions, optimizing transports and raising awareness of environmental conservation among all those involved in the chain.
