On Tuesday, June 17, and Wednesday, June 18, the Slovenian Railways took part in the Transport Engineering Days at Portorož. The professional meeting brought together almost 300 transport experts from Slovenia and the wider region. The event presented a comprehensive overview of the current situation in the field of traffic capacity in Slovenia in close cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans.

The director of SŽ-Tovorni promet, Melita Rozman Dacar, presented the company and the operational issues it is facing in the light of the extensive modernisation of the Slovenian railway network. She spoke about the measures SŽ-Tovorni promet has been implementing to reduce the negative impact of the transport obstacles due to the works. She also stressed the need for the cross-border coordination of maintenance works and the importance of a comprehensive modernisation of the Slovenian public railway infrastructure which will contribute greatly to the competitiveness of the Slovenian logistics sector.
